Deputy Minister Dariusz Standerski met at the Ministry of Digital Affairs with the Working Group for Artificial Intelligence (GRAI) on 27 August. Experts were working on the SMART.pl programme, designed to develop smart services and digital products in Poland. The University of Silesia in Katowice was represented by Joanna Mercik, PhD, associated with the Faculty of Humanities and the Game Studies Research Centre; she was selected as the GRAI leader in the section responsible for awareness, competencies and digital wellbeing. The section’s scope of action includes:
- introducing elements of AI to the curriculum on various educational levels;
- using AI in schools and universities;
- improving the process of education using AI tools by the teaching staff and students;
- counteracting the digital divide and inequalities in access to the AI;
- developing a knowledge base and raising awareness in terms of digital wellbeing.
