The 8th Electronic Media Law Forum takes place on 28 September 2022 at the University of Silesia in Katowice. The Forum is a national scientific conference devoted to legal issues of electronic media and new technologies. This year, for the first time, the forum takes place in Katowice; thus, it will be a unique opportunity to meet the most valued experts in the law of new technologies. The event is planned to take place in a hybrid model, however, on-site participants might take place in workshops prepared by the event partners: Asseco Data Systems, Samsung Electronics Poland and Microsoft.
The event will cover issues related to digital courts, using data in Industry 4.0, tokenisation in the digital economy, and counteracting child sexual abuse on the Internet.
The detailed schedule of the event is available on the Silesian Centre for Legal Engineering, Technology and Digital Competence website. The meeting will be broadcast online on the University’s YouTube Channel. In order to take part on-site, fill in the registration form.
The day before, on 27 September, the 7th Electronic Media Law Young Forum featuring students, PhD students, and young practitioners in new technologies takes place. The meeting takes place online via the MS Teams platform. This year’s edition will present issues related to, among others, trusted flaggers and platform responsibilities, dark patterns in crypto assets turnover and marketing activity management due to the commercialisation of neurotechnology.
