The University of Silesia Press and the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library (CINiBA) are organising the Academic Book Week, which will be held from 27 November to 1 December 2023 under the slogan ‘Geo-eco-humanities’. It is a celebration of scientific books, especially those written by employees of the University of Silesia, published by the University of Silesia Press in recent months and years and made available all over the world in repositories and databases by the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library. This year, the main theme of the Academic Book Week will be climate, environment and humanities.
Participants of the event will be able to take part in workshops on books, education and climate, meetings on books on history, law, film studies, cultural studies, Polish studies, literary studies and theology, as well as debates on the environment and reading. For workshops and tours, registration is required. Admission to other events is free. The event will be organised in the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library (CINiBA).
