Research Centre for Public Competition Law and Sector Regulation of the University of Silesia, the “Polish Waters” National Water Management Authority and the Silesian University of Technology will cooperate in initiating and implementing joint research and development projects. The agreement on cooperation in the field of interdisciplinary scientific research, as well as supporting the commercialisation of research results, was signed on 8 April 2022 in the Senate Hall of the Silesian University of Technology. The document was signed by: Director of the Research Centre for Public Competition Law and Sector Regulation of the University of Silesia, Mirosław Pawełczyk, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, Head of the “Polish Waters” National Water Management Authority, Przemysław Daca, and Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk.
Establishing the tripartite cooperation will enable joint educational and information activities: co-organising lectures, seminars, trainings, debates and conferences. As part of the implementation of the agreement, supporting initiatives and projects aimed at the development of scientific awareness in the field of infrastructure sectors (including water management), as well as information security management is planned. The Parties will support expert activity and promote activities for the benefit of scientific development, leading to innovation, competitiveness, and effective transfer of knowledge among the Polish academic and economic environment.
