‘ecoDEBATE – Students as change agents’ is an inter-faculty debate competition focusing on current environmental problems and their solutions, providing a platform for students to share ideas about mitigating climate change.

The debate will be divided into several thematic parts, each of which will be preceded by a screening of a short film intended to inspire and start the discussion. Students representing various faculties of the University of Silesia were invited to participate in the meeting, which futher solidifies the interdisciplinary nature of the event. The debate will be held on 7 November at 3 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Institute of Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection of the University of Silesia in Katowice (ul. Bankowa 9) and will be conducted in English.

The authors of the initiative are Israel Akinlabi and Hannah Iwuoha – biotechnology students, who, together with a group of other students, developed the concept of a debate competition dealing with the most important current issues of climate change.

Detailed information is available at the event page on Facebook.
