The 14th edition of the European Economic Congress will take place from 25 to 27 April 2022 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. It is the largest business event in Central Europe. The University of Silesia in Katowice is a partner of this event.
The participants will have a chance to exchange experiences with a group of experts, practitioners, and decision-makers. The event programme includes many debates, presentations and meetings, also those featuring the representants of the University of Silesia in Katowice:
- 25 April, 2.30 p.m.: “International youth exchange. The 35th anniversary of the Erasmus+ programme” – Małgorzata Myśliwiec, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia, coordinator of the Transform4Europe project, will take part in this panel. The session is a part of the European Forum for Young Leaders;
- 27 April, 9.30 a.m.: “Science, business, transformation” – one of the speakers will be Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, the Rector of the University of Silesia. During the speech new models of cooperation between science and business, the role of science in the transformation of industrial regions, and Katowice as the European Capital of Science 2024 will be covered;
- 27 April, 1.30 p.m.: “Transition and social capital” – panel guests will include Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, the Rector of the University of Silesia, Małgorzata Suchacka, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, and Prof. Marek Szczepański from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia. During the meeting, the speakers will talk about the challenges of transition in regions steeped in industrial traditions.
