European Forum of Young Leaders, accompanying event of European Economic Congress, will be held from 25 to 27 April 2022 in Katowice in the building of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia (ul. Uniwersytecka 4).

For many years, activities for school and university students, as well as young graduates have been successfully implemented as part of the European Economic Congress. After a pandemic break, the European Forum of Young Leaders will be inaugurated again in 2022.

These will be three intensive days during which experts, foreign guests and young activists will discuss the most current topics.

The event is aimed at youth leaders and activists from 18–30 years of age from Poland and other European Union countries, the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. The meeting will be an opportunity to share experiences and establish contacts.

The University of Silesia is a partner of the event.

In order to take part in the meeting, please fill in the registration form. The programme of the event is available at: www.eecpoland.eu.

At the same time, we would like to kindly remind you of the recruitment of students under the Erasmus + programme for scholarship trips in order to complete part of their studies at foreign partner universities, conducted in the USOS system.

Those interested can also learn about the rules of recruitment for foreign student internships under the Erasmus + program, which will soon be published on the website: www.erasmus.us.edu.pl/wyjazdy-studentow. During the European Forum of Young Leaders, students will be able to visit the stand of the Erasmus Program Office of the University of Silesia.

There is also the possibility of organising educational and training trips (lasting from 2 to 7 or 14 days) as part of the educational exchange campaign in the higher education sector under the Erasmus + programme, thanks to which you can obtain funding for stay and travel. Employees interested in traveling can visit the stand of the Erasmus Programme Office of the University of Silesia at the European Forum of Young Leaders or contact the International Exchange Office (e-mail: erasmus@us.edu.pl).

The stand of the Erasmus Programme Office of the University of Silesia will be located in the Mobile Educational Centre in the courtyard of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice (ul. Uniwersytecka 4).

The Egida Student Radio operating at the University of Silesia will participate in the organisation of the European Forum of Young Leaders. There will be a studio on the premises of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia, from where the radio will be broadcasting all day long. The editors will prepare interviews and reports on two speeches at the European Economic Congress, and will also moderate two discussions:

  • „Skutki gospodarcze a działania wspólnoty zachodniej wobec konfliktu w Ukrainie” [Economic effects and the activities of the Western community in the face of the conflict in Ukraine] – 26 April, at 11.15–12.30 a.m.;
  • „Media a konflikty zbrojne” [Media and armed conflicts] – 27 April, godz. 11.15–12.30 a.m.
