Come and join the 3rd edition of the ‘GeoPicnic at Żyleta’ – a popular science event promoting earth sciences. The event takes place on Friday 19 April 2024 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Sosnowiec (ul. Będzińska 60) between 10.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.
The event will be carried out in a festival-like concept – we open the gates of our Faculty to everyone interested in earth sciences. The guests can enjoy exhibition stands, scientific workshops, lectures, sightseeing, GeoQuest, the urban game called ‘W Pogoni za Ziemią’ and a run ‘Zdobyć Żylety Szczyt’ during which you can reach the summit of the building.
Participation is free of charge by requires prior registration. The registration starts on 4 April 2024 at 8.00 p.m. via a dedicated form (the detailed schedule of workshops will be released on 2 April, at the latest).
The event will also feature a contest ‘Nieoczywiste miejsca wokół nas [Nonobvious places around us].
