The 1st International MusicAlive Piano and Music Education Symposium will be held from 15 to 16 December 2021 in a hybrid form. As part of the event, lectures, master classes and workshops focusing on topics related to music and piano education are planned.
The aim of the project is to enable the exchange of experiences among the pianistic and music education community, as well as to support young pianists on their artistic path.
The issues discussed during the symposium will include:
- presentation of the piano repertoire of less well-known composers from around the world,
- cultivating Polish folk dances of less well-known or undiscovered composers,
- promoting works of female composers,
- improvisation in the education of pianists at various levels of education.
The Symposium is organised by the Institute of Music of the University of Silesia and World Piano Teachers Association Poland.
