On Monday 27 September 2021, in lecture hall no. 5 of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia in Katowice (ul. Bankowa 11b), the inauguration of a week-long adaptation course for foreign students coming to study part-time at our university will take place. The ceremony, which is planned to be held in a hybrid form this semester, will begin at 12 p.m. (noon).
The inauguration will be opened by Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski, Vice-Rector for International and Domestic Cooperation. Also in attendance will be Prof. Jolanta Tambor, the Director of the School of Polish Language and Culture and the Plenipotentiary of the Rector for Foreign Students. Representatives of the faculties, School of Polish Language and Culture, Student Service Centre, Erasmus Student Network, Student Government, and employees of the International Relations Department will also participate in the meeting.
During the inauguration and the entire course conducted by the School of Polish Language and Culture, students will be able to learn about the functioning of the University of Silesia in Katowice, its faculties, and individual units, as well as organisations operating at the university. They will also have the opportunity to become acquainted with the cities in which they will study and with our region.
In the winter semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, the University of Silesia in Katowice will host over 200 students from 19 countries as part of various exchange programmes.
