On 21 March 2023 at 5.30 p.m. at the Kinoteatr Rialto in Katowice, a meeting ‘On hope in a dark world’ will be held as part of the Ecological Thought Club. Participants of the event will watch the film “Who We Were” directed by Marc Bauder.

The film shows a dramatic picture of the world that intellectuals and scientists talk about, postulating the necessary changes on our planet. We get to know the limitless possibilities of our brain, the legacy of colonialism and the robot’s range of feelings. It is an inspiring look at our world that gives hope. Who we are still depends on us, if only we understand that we are connected to everything and everyone, we accept the idea of community and the meaning of the word “we”.

The meeting will be hosted by Ryszard Kulik, PhD (Ecological Thought Club, Workshop for All Beings) and Barbara Wojtaszek (Polish and English teacher, environmental educator, Chair of the board of the Ecological Thought Club Foundation).

The organisers of the event are: Ecological Thought Club, Metropolis GZM, University of Silesia in Katowice as well as Millennium Docs Against Gravity.

Detailed information can be found on the event’s Facebook page.
