The Silesian Water Centre of the University of Silesia in Katowice and the “Why Not” Foundation are organising a scientific conference, which will take place on 23 March 2022 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia in Sosnowiec at ul. Będzińska 60. The event serves as a summary of the two-week-long kayaking trip down the Vistula River, from Goczałkowice to Gdańsk, undertaken to collect biological samples for hydrobiological testing and water samples for physicochemical testing. The results of testing, research, and problems and challenges regarding the functioning of large rivers will be presented during the event. Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, Rector of the University of Silesia, took honourary patronage over the event.

You can participate in the conference on site and online. In both cases, you need to register your participation by filling in and submitting the registration form by 21 March.

The event will be broadcast on YouTube.

More information, including the programme, is available on the website of the event.
