Legal conference and contract between the Polish Bar Council and CYBER SCIENCE

The nationwide conference: „In the maze of ex officio legal help– time for serious changes” is held on 10 June 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia in Katowice.

The lecturers include: employees of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia: Czesław Martysz, PhD, DLitt (the Dean), Anna Chorążewska, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor and Krystian Markiewicz, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor. The speakers’ presentations are divided into three panels: „Ex officio legal help as part of the right to settle”, „The issue of the pay for providing ex officio legal help” and „The effectiveness of legal help in Poland and Europe”.

The event is going to be preceded by official signature of the contract between the Polish Bar Association and the CYBER SCIENCE Silesian Centre for Legal Engineering, Technology and Digital Competence at 10 a.m. at the Council of the Institute of Law hall. The signatories are Przemysław Rosati, counsel and Chairman of the Polish Bar Association, and Dariusz Szostek, PhD, DLitt and Associate Professor of the University of Silesia.

Additionally, it is possible to participate in the conference remotely via Zoom. The event is going to be broadcast on the University’s YouTube channel.

The conference is organised by the Polish Bar Association and one of its units, the Institute of Legislation and Parliamentary Works. The event is sponsored by the Dean of the Urban Bar Council in Katowice – counsel Roman Kusz, and Czesław Martysz, PhD, DLitt and the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia.
