On Wednesday, 15 September 2021 at 6 p.m. in the Rondo Sztuki gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (Rondo im. gen. Jerzego Ziętka 1) there will be a concert entitled Listy. Esej na głos i kontrabas (Letters. Essay for voice and double bass). Participants will include:
- Prof. Tadeusz Sławek – poet, translator, essayist, linguist, Rector of the University of Silesia in 1996-2002,
- Krzysztof Czyżewski – writer, director and animator of intercultural activities, co-founder of the “Borderland of Arts, Cultures, Nations” Centre in Sejny and the Borderland Foundation,
- Bogdan Mizerski – musician, double bass player, composer, songwriter, producer.
Essay for voice and double bass is a form of alternative concert combining spoken word, audio, and visuals. It is the result of cooperation between Prof. Tadeusz Sławek and Bogdan Mizerski, established in 1977. This time, the musical and poetic duo will be joined by Krzysztof Czyżewski. The concert is an event accompanying the exhibition TSIL (w dialogu z Andrzejem Szewczykiem).
