Institute of Arts Studies at the University of Silesia in Katowice invites to the lecture by Prof. Ewa Chojecka entitled “Michael Baxandall and Firth of Forth bridge. A method of interpreting an engineering work from the perspective of history of art”. The lecture will be an introduction to reflections on post-industrial heritage (including Upper Silesia), which, in the opinion of the art historian, still lacks a coherent programme for Magnae Industriae historical monument preservation, as well as system for analysing and interpreting this subject from the perspective of the scientific discipline represented by Prof. Ewa Chojecka. ‘Baxandall seems to be really helpful in this regard’, says the lecturer.

The meeting begins on 18 December 2020 at 5 PM on MS Teams.
