“Being seen, being heard – representation and normalisation of stuttering in the mainstream” is the slogan of this year’s International Stuttering Awareness Day. On this occasion, on 22 October 2022, a scientific seminar will be held at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice in order to increase the awareness of the needs of people who stutter.
The participants will be able to watch the premiere of the theatre performance “Unspoken. A short play about a man and his stammer”. As part of the event, Justyna Wawrzyniuk, MA (the translator of the play) will conduct an interview with the director of the play, Trudy Stewart, PhD.
Each participant of the event will receive a certificate of participation.
