The recruitment for the 2nd edition of the Professor Józef Pieter Award for teachers is underway!
The Professor Józef Pieter Award is awarded annually to an outstanding teacher who works in a primary or secondary school in the Silesian Voivodeship. It is presented to individuals whose work demonstrates the fundamental importance of education for the development of children and young people; who effectively share their love of knowledge, combine the qualities and skills of outstanding subject teachers and committed educators; are open-minded, tolerant and fair.
Do you know an outstanding teacher who works in a primary or secondary school in the Silesian Voivodeship? Enter them for the Professor Józef Pieter Award!
Candidates can be entered by individuals, a group of people, or an institution. The entirely open form of candidate submission allows everyone to recommend the people who, in their opinion, have a significant impact on the development and success of their pupils – in education and their private lives. Let’s show how important our teachers are to us!

The Competition Committee will select 5 finalists from among the submitted persons and the winners will be made public on Teacher’s Day, 14 October 2024, at which time one person will receive a statuette and a cash prize of PLN 20,000.
