University of Silesia in Katowice

The lecture “Communication awareness and technologies increasing accessibility of people hard of hearing” conducted by Lidia Best within the framework of the social campaign “Aware University of Silesia. Openness” will be held on 1 March 2022 at 7 p.m.

The speaker will talk about the contact and communication with the hard of hearing as well as the technologies that improve hearing and accessibility to classes and materials for students with such needs.

Lidia Best is the President of the European Federation of Hard of Hearing People (EFHOH) and the President of the National Association of the Deaf (NADP). As a member of numerous organisations and committees, in her professional activity she focuses on the issues of accessibility for the hard of hearing and technologies that increase the versatility of multimedia materials for this very group of people.
