The University of Silesia in Katowice will establish cooperation with Silesia Pro Active — the organiser of the Silesia Marathon. The letter of intent will be signed during the press briefing taking place on Tuesday, 13 December 2022, at 10 a.m. at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia.
The cooperation aim will be to undertake joint educational and information activities as well as to organise events promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyle in our region. The joint exchange of knowledge and experiences will enable the implementation of various valuable initiatives. The 15th edition of the Silesia Marathon will take place under the auspices of the University of Silesia, which will thus become a partner of the largest running event in the Silesian Voivodeship.
The press briefing will feature Prof. Ryszard Koziołek — Rector of the University of Silesia, Bohdan Witwicki — Chair of the Silesia Pro Active foundation and Director of the Silesia Marathon, and Aleksander Fangor — Director of the Centre for Physical Education and Sport of the University of Silesia. The briefing will take place in the Faculty of Law and Administration building (Katowice, ul. Bankowa 11a, room 1.4).
