You have just 3 minutes to talk about your PhD thesis. Who will take up the challenge and show that science can be discussed in a clear and engaging way? We invite young researchers to take part in the 9th Silesian edition of the Three Minute Thesis® 2026 competition.
The Three Minute Thesis® is a competition in scientific communication, during which participants present the topics of their doctoral theses. Each participant’s presentation lasts 3 minutes – during this time, they must present scientific topics in a precise and understandable manner to an audience outside their field of science. The competition has been organised by the Science Popularization Centre of the Silesian University of Technology since 2017 under licence from the University of Queensland in Australia.
Participants
The Silesian edition of 3MT® is open to PhD students from universities and branches of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in the Silesian Voivodeship, as well as those undertaking PhD research at the National Oncology Institute in Gliwice.
