静けさに (shizukesa ni) in Japanese means ‘in silence’. It is also the title of the exhibition by Lidia Rozmus that you can see in the main hall of the Centre for Scientific Information and Academic Library (CINiBA) from 12 October to 30 November 2022.

The exhibited works allude to three ‘books for writing’ by Lidia Rozmus: ‘The Republic of Mole Hill’, ‘In Silence’, and ‘A Little Planet’ set in Japanese art and aesthetics. The exhibition includes traditional art forms of the Land of the Rising Sun such as sumi-e, haiga, haiku, haibun or haibunga.

Lidia Rozmus is a graphic designer, art historian, author of haiga and sumi-e, and haiku poet. Her works have been exhibited in the United States, Japan, Australia, and Italy.

The opening of the ‘In Silence’ exhibition begins at 5 p.m. on Wednesday 12 October in the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library. The event takes place within the celebration of the 10th anniversary of CINiBA.
