13th European Economic Congress

The 13th edition of the European Economic Congress will be held at the International Congress Centre in Katowice from 20 to 22 September 2021. During the event, an exhibition stand of the University of Silesia featuring the latest scientific solutions for society and the economy will be made available.

The congress speakers will include:

  • Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, Rector of the University of Silesia – “Intellectual capital – the gold of the 21st century” (22 September, 1.30 p.m. – 3 p.m.);
  • Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski, Vice-Rector for International and Domestic Cooperation – “Just transition” (22 September, 11.30 a.m. – 3 p.m.);
  • Prof. Jadwiga Glumińska-Pawlic from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia – “Finance of local governments” (20 September, 2.30 p.m. – 4 p.m.);
  • Robert Pyka, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, Chair of the Observatory of Urban and Metropolitan  Processes – “Prospects for metropolises” (21 September, 1.30 p.m. – 3 p.m.).

The 13th European Economic Congress is the largest business event in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together representatives of the world of business, science, and politics.

The participation of the University of Silesia in the event was co-financed by the programme “Social responsibility of science” of the Ministry of Science and Education.
