Recently, several University of Silesia scientists secured funding for 22 research projects from the National Science Centre under the OPUS, PRELUDIUM, and MINIATURA programmes. The projects that received funding include:

- Faculty of Law and Administration – 5 projects;
- Faculty of Humanities – 4 projects;
- Faculty of Natural Sciences – 4 projects;
- Faculty of Social Sciences – 1 project.
The total value of the obtained funding is PLN 13.7 million.
