Degree courses and career prospects at the Faculty of Law and Administration
- Administration – gain knowledge in selected branches of law, ethics, economics and sociology, among others. These fundamentals will let you pursue a career in public administration, governmental and non-governmental structures, diplomatic posts and international institutions. These studies equip you with valuable management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Environmental Administration – a response to the growing problems of the modern world. Acquire and hone the skills needed to excel at the interface of law and environmental science, and become a sought-after professional for public administration bodies, international organisations, and environmental associations.
- International Business Law and Arbitration (Master’s degree studies in English) – become a specialist in international business law and arbitration in just two years and open doors to exciting career opportunities in both the private and public sectors. After graduating, you may pursue career at business consulting companies, notary offices, as well as international and domestic institutions, or choose to go off the beaten path and pursue the career of an independent consultant.
- Law – one of the most prestigious degree programmes that truly opens up a wide range of career opportunities. After graduation, you may pursue the career as an attorney-at-law, prosecutor, notary, judge and legal advisor. Beyond the jobs that first spring to mind, there is a range of additional alternatives. Thanks to the collaboration, students take part in training sessions, workshops and expert panels led by seasoned practitioners. Moreover, it is a fine opportunity to learn how to work in an international tax and legal consultancy firm through first-hand experiences.

- Practice makes perfect. During your studies, you’ll attend practical classes. You’ll discover how to use a polygraph, witness an actual court trial, and even become part of a rescue team – giving you a first-hand look at the work of search and rescue units.
- Meetings, workshops, training sessions. Our Faculty is frequently visited by members of the legal professions and experts from various industries. We also organise numerous conferences and seminars.

- Un-bee-lievable neighbours. The rooftop of the Faculty of Law and Administration has an unusual component to it – beehives that are a part of an ecological initiative of the University of Silesia. The beehives are part of environmental protection and biodiversity conservation efforts, promoting urban beekeeping and environmental education in academic spaces. The so-called Legal Honey is one of the goodies gifted to visitors, as well as to university and high school students who are winners of the competitions hosted by the Faculty.
