spinPLACE Centre for Creativity and Coworking, located at ul. Bankowa 5 in Katowice was officially opened on Tuesday, 27 February 2024. The Centre is a place to support initiatives related to prototyping and animating various projects of the University of Silesia in Katowice, especially in the context of collaboration with the academic, social and economic environment.
The project is funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund within the Regional Operational Programme for the Silesian Voivodeship for 2014–2020 under Priority Axis I. Modern Economy. Measure 1.4. Support for the Innovation Ecosystem. Sub-measure 1.4.2. Support for regional and local creativity and innovation centres. The project was completed at the end of 2023 with funding in the amount of over PLN 25M.
