The Faculty of Humanities, in cooperation with the Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship, has announced the 5th admission process for the two-semester Postgraduate Studies in Regional Knowledge for 2021/2022.

Interdisciplinary approach to the region

The studies are addressed to people who are particularly interested in Silesia. Graduates will obtain competences to carry out regional education classes at schools and cultural institutions. The study programme is interdisciplinary; it combines issues related to linguistics, cultural studies, history, sociology, geography, geology, and natural sciences in all regions of Silesia.

Since its first edition, the studies have enjoyed unflagging popularity. So far, over 100 postgraduate students have participated in them.

Funding

The teachers of Silesia can receive funding from the Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship. Thanks to the agreement concluded between the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship and the University of Silesia, the fee is divided between the Marshal Office, the given municipality delegating the teacher, and the participant.

Deadline for admission

The application forms are accepted until 29 September 2021.
