Prof. Remigiusz Kaszubski Award for Prof. Dariusz Szostek

On 10 and 17 March 2022, the Banking Forum was held, during which the Prof. Remigiusz Kaszubski award was granted. It is awarded to people whose activities in the field of electronic banking and legal regulations have distinguished themselves in a special way, including creativity.

The jury awarded six people, including Dariusz Szostek, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, for spreading knowledge on new technologies, including blockchain technology and process tokenisation.

Prof. Dariusz Szostek is an employee of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia, a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Katowice, an expert of the European Artificial Intelligence Observatory at the European Parliament. He is the co-author of the e-court concept, the originator of the electronic acknowledgment of receipt, and the author of the concept of the electronic registry office. He is also a lecturer.  He is the author of several dozen publications, including the monograph “Blockchain and the law”.

Remigiusz Kaszubski award is a commemoration of an expert in banking law, banking supervision, electronic banking, security of electronic transactions, payment systems and electronic economy.
