On 16 June 2023, awards were presented in an official award ceremony for the competition organised by the Association of PR and Promotion of Polish Universities “PRom”. The University of Silesia won first place in the science communication category for the 6th Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE.
The PRom Association awards are presented for the communication, information, and promotional activities carried out on behalf of Polish universities. The competition aims to support and recognise the best, the most creative, and the most effective activities in communication and promotional initiatives.
The Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE is one of Europe’s most significant popular science events. Each year the festival programme consists of hundreds of activities promoting science and art: lectures, workshops, exhibition stands, exhibitions, concerts, meetings with special guests, and other initiatives. The 6th edition took place from 3 to 5 December 2022.
