Ministry of Education and Science has announced the results of a conceptual non-competition project ‘Best Of The Best! 4.0’ under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund. Students of the University of Silesia in Katowice prepared four applications. Three of them received funding:
- ‘Testing the viability of microorganisms from the environments of burning post-mining heaps in post-extreme conditions using an anaerobic chamber of one’s own design’ – Agnieszka Bylina under the substantive supervision of Piotr Siupka, PhD and Prof. Leszek Marynowski;
- ‘Jan Krzysztof Kluk’s project of a modern environment based on his economic textbook’ – Konrad Kopel under the substantive supervision of Adam Pisarek, PhD;
- ‘The development of the concept of magical thinking in the early texts of Eugeniusz Frankowski’ – Anna Leśniewska under the substantive supervision of Marek Pacukiewicz, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor of the University of Silesia and Kamila Gęsikowska, PhD.
The aim of the ‘Best Of The Best! 4.0’ is to support outstandingly talented students in the development of their scientific activity. Co-financing may be allocated, among others, for participation in international competitions and conferences.
