Prof. Damian Absalon once again becomes a member of the National Water Management Council

Damian Absalon, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof. from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia became a member of the National Water Management Council once again. At the inaugural meeting of the 6th term of office of the Council, which took place on 16 July 2024 in Warsaw, Prof. Absalon received a nomination from Przemysław Koperski, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure.

The National Water Management Council, established under the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2017 – Water Law (Journal of Laws 2017, item 1566, as amended), is a consultative and advisory body of the minister responsible for water management. Its tasks include, among others, developing positions, opinions, proposals and conclusions on water management, protection against floods and the effects of droughts.
