USil Film School employees appointed to the WFDiF Programme Council

Krystyna Doktorowicz, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof. and Agnieszka Smoczyńska, MA, from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia, have been appointed to the new Programme Council of the Documentary and Feature Film Studios for the period 2026–2030.

Krystyna Doktorowicz, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof. is the Dean of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School. She is a leading expert in the fields of social communication, audiovisual culture and arts education, specialising in two disciplines: media and social communication studies, and film and theatre arts. For many years, she has combined research, teaching, organisational and community work.

Agnieszka Smoczyńska, MA, is a director and screenwriter with a well-rounded education. She works as a lecturer at the Film School. Her filmography includes numerous films, among them the multi-award-winning Silent Twins.

The Council is an advisory and consultative body to the Director of the Documentary and Feature Film Studios. The duties of its members include, amongst other things, providing opinions on the institution’s annual and long-term strategies and assessing their implementation.
