Prof. Leszek Marynowski Becomes a Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The Polish Academy of Sciences has comprised 89 new domestic members. The nominations were presented during the ceremony which took place on 14 January 2020.

The group of individuals selected as the corresponding members includes Prof. Leszek Marynowski, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Silesia, Vice-President of the Committee on Mineralogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and President of the Mineralogical Society of Poland in 2013–2016.

The regular and corresponding members were elected by the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Sciences during its 140th session in December 2019. Their term began on 1 January 2020.

The Polish Academy of Sciences consists of researchers who are distinguished by their outstanding scientific achievements and enjoy great respect in the scientific community. Currently, it comprises 348 domestic and 181 foreign members.
