The Electoral Committee of the University of Silesia in Katowice has elected the Rector of the Silesian Alma Mater for the term 2024–2028, entrusting this function to Prof. Ryszard Koziołek. The voting was carried out by electronic means on 16 April 2024.
Three candidates had been running for the upcoming term. These were: Prof. Jacek Barcik, Faculty of Law and Administration; Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, the current Rector; and Prof. Iwona Loewe, Faculty of Humanities.
