An extraordinary meeting took place on December 6th. Representatives of authorities four universities from Belarus visited University of Silesia. Distinguished guests were welcomed by the prof. Wiesław Banyś, rector of the University of Silesia. The meeting was a great opportunity to discuss future cooperation possibilities between the universities.
Belarusian delegation members were: prof. Iryna Ryzhykava, Vice Rector for the Science and Education at the Minsk State Linguistic University, prof. Helena Zhivitskaya, Vice-Rector for Education and Quality Management at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics in Minsk, prof. Andrei Boika, Vice Rector for Research at the P. O. Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel and prof. Aliaksandr Maliarevich, dean of the Machine Building Faculty at the Belarusian National Technical University.
University of Silesia was represented also by prof. Mirosław Nakonieczny, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, Institutional Affairs and Public Relations, prof. Andrzej Kowalczyk, Vice-Rector for Research and Collaboration with Industry, Agata Wójcik, head of the Department of International Relations, Joanna Laskowska, head of the International Admissions Office and Dariusz Laska from the Office of Industry Cooperation.
