Founding agreement of the Silesian NANO Cluster has been signed on 4th of March 2013 at the Scientific Centre and Academic Library in Katowice.
The main goal of the Silesian NANO Cluster establishment is to support nanotechnology entrepreneurship in the Silesia region, and to base it on cooperation between scientific and business sectors.
Signatories of the agreement were: Ph.D. Adam Szatkowski, president of the board of the Foundation for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Support NANONET, Piotr Uszok, president of Katowice City, prof. Zbigniew Śmieszek, director of the Institute of Non Ferrous Metals, Piotr Skurzyński, as a representative of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and prof. Wiesław Banyś, rector of the University of Silesia.
Silesian NANO Cluster will enable creation of cooperation platform, development of the partners’ potential, and it will also serve as a discussion forum for interested parties. Silesian NANO Cluster is open for all entrepreneurs, scientific and research institutions, public administration institutions, media representatives, financial institutions, and business support institutions.
