Meeting with Ambassador Artur Harazim

On Monday, 21 February 2022, Ambassador Artur Harazim met with students of International Studies in Political Science and Diplomacy at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice. The guest introduced the students to various career paths in diplomacy, talked about the requirements for diplomatic and consular training, and shared his extensive experience in the work of a diplomat.

Ambassador Artur Harazim is a professional diplomat. Currently, he is the deputy director of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He has been associated with the Ministry since 1993. He was, inter alia, head of the department in the Legal and Treaty Department, head of the team preparing the accession treaty, he was also the coordinator of the parliamentary and legal department at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in Brussels, as well as the representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the preparation of the presidency of the EU Council.

In 1996–2001 he worked at the Polish Embassy in Washington, and in 2012–2016 he was the Polish ambassador to Belgium. Ambassador Artur Harazim is a graduate of the University of Silesia in Katowice.
