Zone of Interest wins two Oscars

The 96th Academy Awards, the most prestigious film awards presented by the US Motion Picture Academy, took place on the night of 10-11 March 2024.

The film ‘Zone of Interest’ won two categories:

  • Best International Feature Film,
  • Best Sound (Tarn Willers and Johnnie Burn).

Among the production’s creators are graduates of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice: Stanisław Cuske (cameraman), Bartosz Toboła (assistant/cameraman), Maja Krężel (production assistant), Marek Kita (camera assistant) and Krzysztof Świderski (video assistant).

‘Zone of Interest’ is a historical drama directed by Jonathan Glazer. The film is a co-production of the United States, the United Kingdom and Poland. It has been awarded, among other prizes, the British Academy Film Award BAFTA.
