Ministry scholarships for students of the University of Silesia

This year’s winners of Minister of Education and Science scholarship for significant scientific, artist and sports achievements include eight representatives of the University of Silesia in Katowice. Each of the awarded students will receive PLN 17,000.

Overall, 890 applications for Minister’s scholarship for significant achievements in the academic year 2020/2021 were submitted at the Ministry of Science and Education. The applications were assessed by the team whose members had been appointed among the candidates proposed by the General Council for Science and Higher Education, Science Evaluation Committee and Young Scientists Council. Based on the created ranking list, the Minister of Education and Science awarded 362 scholarships, including:

  • 285 scholarships for scientific achievements,
  • 42 scholarships for sports achievements,
  • 35 scholarships for artistic achievements,

  • Artur Tyński (Interdisciplinary Individual Studies).
