Politician, deputy of the Opole Silesia (1952–1961, 1969–1984), member of the Council of State of the Republic of Poland (1979–1980), Chair of the Polish Society of Authors and Composers (1983–1988), author of Encyclopedia of the United Nations and International Agreements. He received an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Wroclaw (1988).
