Prof. Nikitorowicz is an outstanding and internationally recognised educator, creator of intercultural pedagogy and the idea of the Borderland University, respected author of numerous publications and creator of contemporary theoretical and methodological orientations in pedagogical sciences, Mentor and Teacher to many generations of academics, with his whole scientific biography he proves the sense and the need to ‘think about’ and ‘act in favour of’ combining diversity and cultural variety, awarded with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of knowledge about the common historical heritage of the nations forming the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
