The University of Silesia was placed 7th among universities in the 18th edition of Top Marka 2025 ranking. The university ranked 123rd in the main classification, which includes the 500 strongest brands across all sectors of the economy.
Top Marka is Poland’s largest brand media ranking. The 500 strongest brands present in the press, online and social media were identified based on an analysis by Press magazine and the Institute for Media Monitoring. A total of 1,020 entities from 50 different industries were verified in this year’s survey.
The analysis covered mentions published between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025. The final ranking position was determined by a brand strength index based on three key parameters:
- Number of mentions – the overall frequency a brand appears in media coverage with.
- Impact (reach) – the estimated audience reach of the mentions, calculated on the basis of readership, listening, viewing and digital media activity data.
- Sentiment index – an assessment of the emotional tone of the content (positive, neutral or negative), determining the quality of communication and brand sentiment.
In the university category, a ranking position reflects the scale of media presence, the credibility built through scientific achievements, and the ability to adapt to market and societal changes. Between 1 January and 31 December 2025, the University of Silesia generated the Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE) of PLN 291M, based on the report by the Institute for Media Monitoring.
