The inventive activities of scientists associated with the University of Silesia in Katowice have been summarised in the report of Patent Office of the Republic of Poland for 2019.
The University of Silesia has won the first place in respect of the number of patents granted in 2019 among the so-called classical universities (uniwersytety bezprzymiotnikowe) in the ranking of Polish and foreign units.
With 28 solutions covered with patent protection in this period, our University ranked 13th among all entities submitting their patents to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, including scientific and research centres, enterprises, institutions and natural persons.
