Research services, expert opinions, commissioned opinions

Commissioned research is the basic form of the University’s cooperation with business, non-government organisations and local self-government units. The services commissioned by external entities  include research, expert opinions and analyses.

The administrative work related to the commissioned research is performed by Industry Cooperation Office. The performance of commissioned work is governed by the Rector’s Ordinance no. 199 of 21st December 2018 on the establishment of the procedure for acceptance, performance and financial settlement of work commissioned to be performed at the University of Silesia by external institutions.

The procedure for acceptance and performance of commissioned research services should be used when scientific research and other services, such as expert opinions, analyses and reports are commissioned/ordered by an external entity.

This procedure does not apply to work performed by the University’s researchers under contracts of mandate [umowa zlecenia] or contracts for specific work [umowa o dzieło] commissioned, e.g., by a higher education institution, regarding among others preparation of a doctoral or habilitation thesis review.

The Rector’s Ordinance no. 199 of 21st December 2018 on the establishment of the procedure for acceptance, performance and financial settlement of work commissioned to be performed at the University of Silesia by external institutions.

Individual persons as well as business entities interested in cooperation with our university are welcomed to contact us.
