The Ombudsperson for Academic Rights and Values for the term 2025-2030 was elected on 20 May 2025, during the meeting of the University of Silesia’s Senate.
The race was between two candidates:
- Prof. Jacek Górecki,
- Olga Sitarz, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof.
The voting involved 39 members of the Senate, with 21 votes for Prof. Jacek Górecki, 17 votes for Olga Sitarz, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof., and one member abstained from voting.
Congratulations to Prof. Jacek Górecki on being appointed the Ombudsperson for Academic Rights and Values for the term 2025-2030.
The new term begins on 1 September 2025.
