The call for proposals of modules to be implemented under the University Educational Offer (OOD) for 2nd cycle studies in the academic year 2022/2023 was held from 1 to 28 February 2022. It enjoyed immense popularity – there were over 250 submissions. On 15 March 2022, the committee for the assessment of modules submitted within OOD summarised the results of the call for proposals. As a result of work carried out by the committee, a ranking list was developed and published on the website of the University Educational Offer under “call for proposals of module designs”. We encourage all those interested to take a look.
The full OOD offer of modules for the academic year 2022/2023 divided into university-wide modules, university-wide social modules, and university-wide modules in humanities will be closed and presented by 15 April 2022[1].
The call for proposals allows academics to develop a new educational offer making the degree-related education more comprehensive. Submitted proposals proved to be of high substantive value. A similar call for proposals will be launched before the beginning of each academic year. All those interested in participating will therefore be able to propose modules, which broaden the degree-related education of 2nd cycle students at the University of Silesia, multiple times.
[1]In accordance with Section 5(3) of the Resolution No. 155 of the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice of 13 September 2021, the University Educational Offer, covering university-wide modules, university-wide social modules, and university-wide modules in humanities, is presented by the OOD council by 15 April of the year preceding the academic year in which OOD modules will be implemented.
