Three players from the University Sports Association’s AZS UŚ Katowice Futsal Team, who are also USil students, have been selected for the Polish national team for the World University Championship in Futsal.
The called up to the Polish U19 Men’s Futsal National Team are: Marcin Jastrzembski, Paweł Mieszczanin and Bartłomiej Tworkowski.
Players from AZS USil Katowice took part in the training camp in Pruszków, which was set to run from 25 to 30 June. The team will then compete in the World University Championships held in Warsaw from 1 to 8 July 2026.
A national team call-up is a major honour for the players themselves, as well as a testament to the high athletic calibre of AZS UŚ Katowice Futsal Team, who finished 8th in the FOGO Futsal Ekstraklasa during the 2025/2026 season and advanced to the playoff quarterfinals. Congratulations to the USil ballers! We keep our fingers crossed and wish them the best on the international courts!
