My doctoral thesis, defended in 2012, was devoted to the works of J.M. Coetzee. In the years 2008-16 I was a lecturer at the State School of Higher Education in O\u015bwi\u0119cim. I have been an assistant professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice since 2016: first in the Institute of English Cultures and Literatures, and currently in the Institute of Literary Studies. I am the author of\u00a0Between Illusionism and Anti-Illusionism:\u00a0Self-Reflexivity in the Chosen Novels of J.M. Coetzee\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cEnactments of Life\u201d: The Short Stories of Nadine Gordimer\u00a0(2023). I have published articles about writers from South Africa (J.M. Coetzee, Nadine Gordimer, Damon Galgut), Britain (Iris Murdoch, William Golding), and Ireland (John Banville, Anne Enright, Colm T\u00f3ib\u00edn).
