Results of PRELUDIUM 22 NCN contest

9 doctoral students from the University of Silesia are among the winners

On November 23, 2023, the National Science Center announced the list of winners of the OPUS 25 and PRELUDIUM 22 competitions. The PRELUDIUM competition is addressed to doctoral students and other researchers without a doctoral degree. Among the 231 projects targeted for financing, there are 9 projects presented to doctoral students of the University of Silesia in Katowice.

List of winners from our University:

  2. mgr Wojciech Stanisław Leder (Doctoral School), discipline: law, project title: Conceptual Metaphors in Criminal Mediation – Social Acting of Law
  3. mgr Zuzanna Maria Farny (Doctoral School), discipline: psychology, project title: Moral functioning of individuals with autism spectrum condition
  4. mgr Patrycja Joanna Ziętara (Doctoral School), discipline: biological sciences, project title: The Way to longevity – Effects of resveratrol or/and nanodiamonds on sirtuin activity in Acheta domesticus
  5. mgr Bartosz Ogłaza (Doctoral School), discipline: biological sciences, project title: Does the usage of Sakhalin amber inclusion bridge the information gap about the Eocene stage of the biological and morphological evolution of aphids?
  6. mgr Marta Agnieszka Prach (Doctoral School), discipline: biological sciences, project title: The role of selected bacterial strains of the Zea mays core endobiome in increasing drought stress tolerance in maize
  7. mgr Daria Książak (Doctoral School), discipline: earth and related environmental sciences, project title: Record of enhanced volcanism at Devonian-Mississippian boundary based on mercury and tellurium chemostratigraphy
  8. mgr Katarzyna Maria Skrzyńska (Doctoral School), discipline: earth and related environmental sciences, project title: Polarized Raman spectroscopy and diffraction studies of hydrated minerals with layered and microporous structures: methodological and research aspects
