About the Faculty of Science and Technology

The mission of the Faculty of Science and Technology is to develop knowledge, create new technologies as well as to adapt technological innovations for sustainable development and broader social needs. The education of our students is our highest priority. Our Faculty combines top-notch teaching with world-class research conducted at six disciplinary institutes. The Faculty’s advanced research and the active academic community continue to attract young and talented people who want to change the world through science and technology. Our faculty is located in 3 cities. Two thousand four hundred fifty students study in 12-degree programs in 6 different disciplines: computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, and biomedical engineering. We conduct our scientific investigations, from basic and applied research to industrial and development projects, in more than 100 advanced, constantly upgraded laboratories. Our commitment to quality research and the outstanding work of the faculty members are reflected in the number of undertaken scientific projects and awarded research grants. We have patented over 170 patents in the last ten years.
