Accessibility of the entrance to the building and control area

The building is clearly marked with a red board with the inscription saying ‘Uniwersytet Śląski, Dom Asystenta nr 1 w Sosnowcu’ [University of Silesia, Teacher Residence Hall no. 1 in Sosnowiec]. The board is located on the building façade.

The entrance is situated on the side of the square, opposite Student Residence Hall no. 2. Entrance to the building requires taking 9 stairs with a height of 15 cm. The building door is not opened automatically. Upon entering the building, on the right side, there is a reception desk open 24 hours a day. The reception desk window is located at a height of 91.5 cm. The reception desk employees are willing to help individuals in wheelchairs, walk out to the hall and provide necessary information.

In order to enter the building hall, you have to open the second door (the door with a door closer is opened by a receptionist). Staircase A is opposite the hall entrance. Staircase B is located on the right side of the corridor.

Accessibility of corridors, stairs, and lifts

The six-storey building has technical premises in the basements, whereas floors 1-5 are the reception desk and flats.

There is no lift in the building.

The nearest parking space for people with disabilities is located in front of the entrance to Student Residence Hall no. 3 on ul. Sucha
